Living in Edgewater and Sloan's Lake
A small, walkable city on Denver's west side, wrapped around Sloan's Lake Park, the city's largest lake. Our home is one block from the 2.6-mile loop trail, about 10 minutes from downtown and 15–20 minutes from Intermountain Lutheran and St. Anthony hospitals.
Centered on Sloan’s Lake Park and bordering the small city of Edgewater, this is one of the Denver metro’s most desirable west-side neighborhoods. People jog, bike, and walk their dogs around the lake all day, and the sunsets over the skyline and mountains are the area’s signature.
Edgewater has a tight-knit, small-town feel, and its walkable commercial streets have become a food-and-drink destination. You’ll find historic bungalows, mid-century homes, and modern townhomes side by side, and downtown Denver is about 10 minutes away. It’s lively but laid-back, and very easy to settle into for a month or more.

- Edgewater Public Market. A food hall with local vendors and global cuisine, plus Target, groceries, coffee, and breweries nearby.
- Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. A summer tradition on the lake that brings the whole neighborhood out.
- Intermountain Lutheran and St. Anthony hospitals. About 15 to 20 minutes by car, which makes this a favorite for traveling nurses.
