Living in Wheat Ridge
A quiet, established suburb just west of Denver. Our home is in the Fruitdale neighborhood, with tree-lined streets, big yards, the Clear Creek Trail, and a dog park within walking distance. Denver is about 15 minutes away and Red Rocks under 20.
Fruitdale is a calm, friendly neighborhood just west of Denver, with a mix of longtime residents and newcomers. Many homes date to the mid-20th century, which gives the area a lived-in character, and larger lots with gardens and fenced yards make it feel roomier than denser Denver neighborhoods.
Its biggest draw is the location between the city and the mountains. It’s an easy commute into Denver, or head west for hiking, skiing, and a day in the foothills. It suits anyone who values space, outdoor access, and a laid-back pace without being far from the action.
